This article explains all the ins and outs of the RV Job configuration modal. For information about starting a Record Validation Job, see RV Job - Validate Records in Batch‍.

Accessing the RV Job modal

To open the RV Job configuration modal in order to create a new Verify Job:

  1. Go to tab RV Job.
The Plauti Verify (RV) Job Overview page‍ opens.
  2. At top right, click + New Job .

The Plauti Verify (RV) job configuration pop-up appears. It lets you choose which fields you want to validate, which record statuses to include, and apply a filter.

Job Name Enter a name for the job (max. 80 characters).
Select Object Select the object to validate.
+ Add Filter Add a filter to the job to run the validation on a subset of the object's records. Read more in Plauti Verify Job Filter‍.
Validations Select the validations: Address, Email, and/or Phone.
In the Verify Setup‍, in Address validations, Email validations‍, and Phone number validations, you can configure which fields should be validated exactly.
RV status Select which kind of records to include in the job. See below for an explanation of the different statuses.
Start Start the job.

RV Statuses

  • New - Not validated before: All records that Plauti Verify has not validated yet.
  • Changed - Changed since the last validation: All records that were changed since the last validation.
  • Manual - Manually saved without validation: All records that were saved manually by users without validation.
  • Amber - Validated and needs a decision: All records that Plauti Verify already validated, and that need a decision on whether to keep the data (e.g. an email address that was recognized as being a spam-trap).
  • Red - Validated and incomplete or invalid: All records that Plauti Verify was not able to validate before because of unusable data.
  • Green - Validated and complete or valid: All records that were found to be correct the last time by Plauti Verify. Suggestions might still be available to make the record values even more complete.

Credits Information

Once all fields have been configured, Plauti Verify will calculate how many credits the job will cost at a maximum.

If the job configuration will result in an empty job, this will be indicated as well. Change the configuration to include records, e.g. by changing the filter or the selected RV statuses.

Process the validation results

After running an RV Job, don't forget to process the results. This can be done automatically‍, or manually‍.
